Call for AAOHN Committee Volunteers

The AAOHN Board of Directors is looking for volunteers for its committees. The responsibilities of the committees are defined by the Board of Directors and aligned with the AAOHN strategic business plans. Committee terms are two (2) years; taskforces and project teams’ terms are defined by need and intensity of the work. All work is done virtually.

Please indicate the committee or task force on which you would like to serve:

Advocacy Committee – Plan and propose the public policy and advocacy platform. Develop public policy resources. Respond to requests for support for legislation, partner organizations’ initiatives, etc.

Careers Committee – Identify trends in occupational health nursing careers and support resources for career development. Develop resources to promote the growth of the profession.

Chapters Committee – Develop resources, based on chapter needs. Consult with chapter leaders. Review chapter models and recommend strategies for their success.

Grants Committee – Investigate grant sources. Write and review grant proposals. Implement projects, based on grand funding.

Communications Working Groups –The Website group - Manage www.aaohn.org’s content, oversees it’s design and recommends new website elements and technology. The Social Media group- Strengthen the association’s presence in social media networks.

International Committee – Build products, tools and education that support global occupational and environmental nursing practice.

Marketing Committee – Develop and implement the strategy to market the profession and increase the visibility and image of the OHN and AAOHN.

Membership Committee – Create a products and services portfolio to meet membership segment needs. Develop and implement membership recruitment and retention programs.

Practice Committee – Review, revise and develop practice education and guidance products. Answer practice-related questions.

Webinar Committee - Develop webinar offerings, targeted to membership areas of work, chapter and career needs.
