____ Suggestion for sending the same survey to classroom teachers—have university supervisors serve as liaison between classrooms and university with regard to introducing and informing about the CF. Give the survey to ___ of their cooperating teachers during a regularly scheduled meeting and return the completed surveys to us. What do you think? Suggestions for ELT and CHD?
_____ Progress on writing the Institutional Report. Prior to today, no suggestions have been received from Standard chairs and SPA chairs, after two requests. Julie specifically asked for input on the narrative for Content Knowledge. Today we will focus on the 6 major topics for the CF institutional report.

NCATE Conceptual Framework Task Force Committee Meeting Minutes

Members were welcomed, and we reviewed the minutes from 12/5/06 virtual meeting-approved.
Julie shared Dr. Rolling’s email from 11/30/06 regarding FCS course syllabi and the CF-old CF information was used! Julie sent current information to her.
Julie reviewed the Steering Committee meeting held today. (timeline, etc.)
We approved the letter and survey to be sent to community partners: Class Works, Barbara Neal) and the Hammond Chamber Education Committee (Guy Ricotto). Other names suggested were Region II office and Head Start. Julie will make arrangements to get these mailed. We’ll need them back for some time in February.

This suggestions was positively received at the Steering Committee meeting and in our meeting. Julie will contact Dr. Day about moving ahead with it. Suggestions for ELT and CHD will be asked for at February meeting.
We looked at several of the topics on the current Institutional Report draft. Julie will incorporate suggestions and will send the 4 component narratives to Dr. Jacob to give to Program Chairs so members can provide input during the February meetings. We will need responses by the end of February so they can be incorporated for review at the March meeting.
No representative present, so no status report on the narrative from the Department of Counseling and Human Development.
Julie shared the chart Flo prepared and will post it to the web site for everyone to use.
The updated Action Plan for 06-07, spring semester was reviewed.
