Application:

MEGAMORV SF steel sheet boilers are primarily designed for firing wood. Therefore, most economical fuels are firewood and cut wooden waste from forestry, though satisfactory operation is achieved by firing any coarse fuel (such as stalks of corn or sunflower or cut paper) except those burning abruptly, explosion-like. Never burn saw-dust or straw in MEGAMORV-SF furnaces.

Can be applied for central heating in multi-storey buildings up to 20 m and agricultural buildings.

Technical description:

Boilers are welded of 5-6 mm gauge steel sheet with fire tubes of three passes. The boiler consists of two parts assembled at the installation site. The first is the precombustor, including the wood feeder, the combustion chamber, the ignition dome and the fire bars, the latter consisting of a section tilted 60 degrees to horizontal, and the horizontal one. The tilted grill can be slightly turned around its upper hinges, to facilitate passing burning wood. The second contains the heat exchangers with a turning chamber larger than usual. The precombustor is surrounded by water batteries forming a common system with the waterways of the boiler. Waterways are interconnected with external piping at the installation site. For ignition and inspection of combustion, a cast iron access door is mounted on the boiler side, which can also be used for supplying secondary air if required. Fuel is fed into the furnace through the top door on the front of the precombustor. The loading door is packed with asbestos gasket. Two air supply doors are formed on the front panel, to supply air under the horizontal or inclined fire bars. Ash is removed through the lower door. On the top and bottom of both parts, there are forward and return water pipe outlets, respectively. Pipe stubs for safety forward, expansion pipe, refilling and drain pipes are provided on these. The heat exchanger is designed to ensure easy cleaning of flue pipes from above, and ash and depositions removal from below.

From heat exchangers, flue gases pass to the chimney through the flue gas stub, which is connected to the chimney directly or through an exhaust fan if required.

Boilers are covered with 50 mm thick thermal insulation and painted protective envelope. No special foundation for them is required. For operation and maintenance see the accompanying manual.
