Dear Friend,
PostHigh School it is a very difficult time to find quality programs for Special Needs men over 18. College is an option, but as we know the job market for our college graduates is very competitive and our special needs men coming into this market end up with very menial work, which is not fulfilling and leads to a life of continual frustration and depression.
Bnei Simcha Yeshiva offers an individual program where special needs men get treated to the study of Torah. Our Yeshiva is one of Unity. Although, our truth comes directly from the Torah…we are the conduit to optimal health and healing of the Jewish Neshama. This means if a student comes from more of a secular home, where his path is not a life of study, he can still feel at home doing a wide variety of activities that will enhance him in his growth towards exploring life more successfully and finding out where to go with his new results.
The individualized program will, in a very spiritual way, test each client to find out his real path and work with him on his ‘own individual movie’ of how to embark on his ‘own special journey’. There are so many extraneous stimulations and unnecessary paths of confusion that our clients have suffered to actually ‘come home’ to ‘Joy.” It is our mission to fill each man’s path with Light. The student will begin to experience how they are more able to step out of their own way and RIGHT into their rightful life. This means that our special need for the Torah will help each of our clients to fit into making good choices and having good results that will come from having Faith… something that is non-denominational. It is very easy to lose your Faith when you have special needs. Our program teaches that the challenges you face are ones that come to you in order for you to find G-d and to bring you closer to Him. This means G-d Loves You. When you feel the Love that G-d gives you, you have the inner strength to pursue your life dreams. Israel is the place of Miracles. This time in Israel is the highest in all of Israel’s history. The greatest minds have gathered here to help humanity. Our special sons were sent to us from G-d. We are supposed to return them to Israel for their healing. Whether your son is interested in History, Sports, Archeology, Farming, Politics…any imaginable scenario…we can make it happen in Israel. It is our goal to give your son the self-love that he feels when he is supported by the generations of other strong Jews before him. Why the importance of healing special needs people, now in history? Simple... we, as Torah Jews recognize that G-d did not create accidents. These special Neshamot came here for us to help them to show G-d, our creator that we love him by healing all of his children. Now! ... in preparation for the coming of Mashiach.
So, you say that this sounds amazing, but far-fetched and very idealistic? I would agree. Except that I personally have seen the miracle of a child who grew up in a non-religious household to become Baal Tshuva and have a strong need for being in Israel now. G-d has opened the gates for a program like this to give society an opportunity to look at what is really true. Miracles. Seeing your son live a real life will make your heart sing and fill your eyes with tears of Joy as you see him FREE!
This means that when a student can fortify himself with a sense of well-being that can be sustained with reflective Torah/Therapy, he can feel his mastery of situations that can be translated into “Joy”. I do not call this religious. I call it G-d sent!
My son Avi is a warm and loving man. Avi has 2 brother and 2 sisters. They are working on becoming fulfilled in their rightful lives. I support Avi in his. I started this program from my son’s desire to live a life using the intelligence that HaShem gave him. He wants to study to learn more about ‘doing the work’ that he has to do to make the changes that bring responsibility, maturity and success to him. This program is a family commitment. Our staff will work with you so that you have the ‘joy’ of supporting your son with his positive healthy environment, getting healthier with every breath he takes. In Israel every step you take is a Mitzvah... so just being in the Land your son will be doing his work. If he cannot physically take steps, he can reach out to another to heal himself. I invite you to look over our program in its sincerity and truth. The members of staff at Bnei Simcha Yeshiva are angels. They understand HaKadosh Baruch Hu chose them to give their hearts and special talents to this program to re-frame your son or student and restore him to find his way! Because his way is in itself a miracle, we at Bnei Simcha are in Joy. If you know of any young men that may benefit from our program, or anyone that may wish to be involved, as teacher, companion, or in any way, we hope you will be in touch.
You can trust the fact, that my son grew up in Highland Park, Illinois, attended The Riverview School on Cape Cod, Ma, spent 4 summers at Camp Horseshoe, Minog and 2 years at Camp Ramah, both in Wisconsin and spent 3 summers with NSCY Yachad in Israel. Avi grew up in a non-religious home. He has had all of the trappings of the material society, all except acceptance. Here in Israel, Avi is working on himself and making the big changes necessary to take his place in the world today. I am very proud of Avi and very proud of Bnei Simcha. I left Avi for 3 months while I was in America arranging for weddings for my other children, interviewing prospective students and fundraising. I have been very happy with his continued growth and focus. I have found the program to be very flexible, as well as challenging to my son to reach his potential. Avi is for the first time doing HIS work...that is the best. Imagine successfully learning a 2nd language with 15% hearing. That is truly a miracle. They say that the Torah is inside of each of us. G-d is restoring Avi’s hearing by his hearing the healing words of Torah. It is building his self-esteem and he is hearing the people around him saying “words of goodness’ to him. The World was not as nice. He is learning to speak Hebrew. This means he is being challenged in a way that will move him to the next level and uplift him. This is all that we as parents want from our children. For them to GROW into the best Creation they can be... to live a life of Joy!
