Meeting Minutes:

Meeting Called to order at 10:00am by new President Dave Zappone

Dave then introduced Our Special Guest Speaker, Jim Winters

Topic: Collector Car Appraisals

Presented By: Jim Winters

Some Key Points of Jim's presentation

-Jim has been doing appraisals since the mid 80s

-Charges a $250 fee for 1st appraisal then half that for an update appraisal in 3 to 4 years

-Has a 8 page form used for all appraisals

-Storage Insurance is Important to have to ensure registration is kept “alive” but keep in mind does not cover your collector car's value ensure you have a 2nd policy to keep you cover during the “build”

- Be aware of the difference between Agreed Value vs Declared Value. Declaed Value sets the premium you pay. Also be aware with Agreed value policy the value of you car may less next time you renew

-There are many choices available for Collector Car Insurance

-If buying outside of local area consider looking up local Appraisers in the that area to assit you

Christmas Party re-cap by Tim Williams

-Thanks to all individuals & Sponsors who donated prizes for the party & Slient Auction

-$1000 raised for The Empty Stocking Fund

-Also a Big Thank You to all who attended to create an enjoyable evening. “What happens at The Christmas Party stays at the Christmas Party” so make sure to attend.

-Keep in mind we always welcome donations for the Party at any time of the year as well

Mike Saby also gave a fiancial review as well

-With 2 new sponsors, a sponsor renewal and Membership dues collected The Club has a balance of $3231.14

Topic: New Business

Dave discussed the possibility of have a BCCC car show in conjunction with Lordco Auto parts

-Date TBA (July?)

-Held in parking lot of the New Lordco on Scott rd

-Would it be an “open show”?

-Extend invitations to other clubs within the region

Andof course we would need acceptance from the Membership and a commitee would need to be formed.

Dave also suggested we re-visit the “Calendar” idea

-Ron has a new camera and could take the photos

-Set-up a “Photo Booth” at the BCCC picnic

-Garet volunteered to investigate costs to produce

-Use September meeting to determine photos/layout

Other 2012 Shows

Ron B is already on board to organize our adventure down south to the El Camino Classic show

Eric P also discussed The Village Classic Car Show in Chilliwack

-Date is set for June 24, 2012 (Sunday)

-Like last year if we get enough support from the membership our regular monthly meeting would take place in Chilliwack after registration for the show.-

-Last year 14 cars in attendance, goal this year is get 20+ cars out for the show

For insurance purposes as well as keeping members informed a list of shows BCCC members could possibly attend on behalf of the Club will be posted on the BCCC website once the list is complete

Topic: BCCC Merchandise

Jay is currently working on setting a price list for select BCCC apparel

-T-Shirt w/small BCCC logo embroidered is set at $20

-Going forward all merchandise must be pre-payed when ordering w/Jay

Topic: BCCC Note Pads

Presented By: Don Brown

Don had found some old BCCC notepads he had and suggested maybe the Club members could use such an item in ther classic

-It was suggested if Don wanted to look into costs the cost to produce them it could then be presented to all members

-All in attendancce thought it was a pretty good idea

Tim took the time to remid the membership of the importance of having our Sponsors and the importance making sure we all take the time to consider them when conducting our business.
