Stand alone modules

Population Health Sciences provides modules that together cover the design, conduct and interpretation of research studies. These form part of our postgraduate teaching in public health. The teaching involves lectures, tutorials and private study; there is also a substantial practical component.

The modules are accredited under the Scottish Credit Qualifications Framework (SCQF). This system, which is monitored nationally, awards credits to modules on the basis of contact hours, total student effort required, and attainment of specific educational standards that are externally reviewed. The credits awarded with these modules are at the postgraduate standard.
