Massachusetts Building Trades Council Holds 96th Annual Convention
Speakers will address state and national issues facing unions

(Plymouth) The Massachusetts Building Trades Council is holding its 96th Annual Convention from Wednesday, March 4th – 6th, 2015 at the Radisson Hotel Plymouth Harbor at 180 Water Street in Plymouth. Delegates from the Council’s 74 local unions representing 75,000 men and women all cross Massachusetts will meet to conduct business, hear from a number of high profile speakers at both the state and national level on a wide range of topics facing membership across the country.

Frank Callahan, President of the MBTC said, “Among the major issues facing Massachusetts and the nation are: workforce training, wage inequality and the shrinking middle class. Massachusetts’ Building Trades Unions are emerging from the Great Recession and entering the current economic resurgence in a strong position to address these issues. Our 74 affiliated local unions are prepared to bring our unrivaled commitment to apprentice training, top quality construction, better wages, benefits and working conditions to a growing number of workers and employers in our industry.”
