DCH Auto Group Offers Customers a Free Right Road Kids! Special for Back-to-School
Children will receive a fun and valuable school/creative supplies pack when their parents shop at DCH Toyota of Simi Valley, DCH Toyota of Oxnard, DCH Honda of Oxnard, or DCH Lexus of Oxnard; the customized pack was created by the popular nonprofit Right Road Kids! and includes its DR. TOY award-winning DVD.
Ventura County, CA (September 8, 2011) – Today, Right Road Kids!™ and four of DCH Auto Group’s dealerships in Ventura County -- DCH Toyota of Simi Valley, DCH Toyota of Oxnard, DCH Honda of Oxnard and DCH Lexus of Oxnard -- announced a new partnership program to support families with free customized Right Road Kids’ Super Packs when they visit the auto dealers’ showrooms this Fall.
The durable drawstring sports packs are loaded with Right Road character-enriching products including the award-winning, upbeat Right Road For Kids!™ “You Are Special!” DVD (whichmirrors RRK’s award-winning classroom programs and features the nonprofit’s popular founder, Paula Phillips), the DVD’s companion activity/workbook, a children’s chapter book by Phillips about talents, a Right Road talent journal, wristband, bookmark, pencils, collector stickers, and other cool school supplies. The materials guide and encourage children to spend time identifying, exploring, writing about, and expressing their talents, positive traits, and dreams that will keep them on the “Right Road” in school and in life. The DVD recently won Dr. Toy’s prestigious Awards for “Best 100 Children’s Products 2011” and “10 Best Children’s Audio/Video Products 2011.”

Each of the four auto dealers will gift the packages to children ages 5-12 to enjoy while at the dealership, and to take home, expressly encouraging families to explore the positive, self-esteem building content together. While Right Road Kids!™ and founder of the nonprofit, Paula Phillips, often work through schools, DCH Auto Group ’s ongoing volunteer support inspired her to offer the dealerships a customized package for their customers with children or grandchildren.

This new program represents another big step in the ongoing efforts of both organizations in partnership, to improve the lives of children in their communities. DCH Auto Group team members also regularly volunteer to support the nonprofit work of Right Road Kids! at schools in the Ventura County region. The auto group is also sponsoring the Right Road Kids! Joy Awards and Forum at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library on September 24, 2011, which honors the work of outstanding educators and seeks to find creative solutions to today’s youth and education challenges.
Phillips hopes to see the program expand to other DCH dealerships in the near future as well, saying, “Partnership between schools, nonprofits, parents, and communities is a key to addressing today’s youth and education challenges in real, lasting ways – and we could not ask for more than all that DCH Auto Group does to support our work to help kids find and travel their Right Roads,” shared Phillips. “How wonderful is it that families can visit one of these DCH dealerships and receive a whole pack of fun, uplifting Right Road products for their kids!”
The promotion is set to begin in September and will continue through the fall, while supplies last. The partnership also includes plans for special events (such as Right Road Family Movie Nights) at the participating dealerships, to be announced to their customers via newsletters, e-mail blasts, and in-store posters.
