MCRCC/CRCK NEWS June 23, 2017

Don’t know about you, but my definition of an optimist is someone who sees that it is 124 degrees in Havasu and says “well, this is as hot as it gets, so it’ll only be better tomorrow!!” Of course, it’s all a matter of perspective. I was in Flagstaff the other day and the temperature was 89 degrees, and they were complaining of the heat!

Actually, I was in Flagstaff for the Executive Committee meeting of the Arizona GOP. These meetings take place every three months, and the Chairman of AzGOP, Jonathan Lines, has committed to moving these meetings around the state, instead of just having them in Phoenix. And thanks to the hard work of all of our Pc’s and volunteers in Mohave County, we now are extremely prominent in the AzGOP, and as a matter of fact, our meeting next March of the Executive Committee will be right here in Mohave County.

Speaking of meetings, the next meeting of the Conservative Republican Club of Kingman is now set. The date is Monday, July 10that 11:15 AM as usual at the Dambar Steakhouse on 1960 E. Andy Devine Avenue. Our guest will be District 5 Supervisor Steve Moss, who will discuss the county budget and the various revenue proposals. As this will be the last CRCK meeting before the final decisions are made on August 7th, this will be a meeting you don’t want to miss. As always, the meeting will be open to the public, will cost $3 with lunch optional and on your own. No reservations are necessary, and guests are welcome.

At the meeting, we’ll also have picnic tickets for sale. The 73rdAnnual Mohave County Republican Picnic will take place on Saturday, August 19thfrom 10 AM to 3 PM in the Rec Area #1 of the Hualapai Mountain Park, the usual locale. Still working on more speakers, but you will meet most of your elected officials and candidates for elected office, as well as top people from other areas and from the Arizona GOP. Tickets are $20 apiece, with children 11 and under free. There will be an honor guard and a K9 demonstration (always a big hit), and the food has been graciously donated by the Mohave Steak House of Bullhead City.

This is the premier fundraiser of the year for the MCRCC, and all proceeds will go towards electing more and more Republicans. It has been my goal to have offices in all three cities open year-round, to expand our reach amongst groups who have not traditionally voted Republican, and much more. All of this takes money, and all contributions will be gratefully accepted. We are already well on our way to “making our website great”, and I have started going around to businesses seeking sponsors. In fact, if anyone has a business that would like to sponsor the website, the cost is only $150 yearly, and we will limit our sponsors to one of each type of business. So if you want your business to be the “official sponsor of the Mohave County GOP, just contact me at (928)530-3637 or via e-mail .

I’d also like some of the political clubs to “step up to the plate” and purchase extra picnic tickets in order to “comp” our Sheriff’s Department personnel who will be working the picnic, for $100 you can sponsor the honor guard and the K9, and also, we have several people for whom money is so tight though no fault of their own and who would love to come to the picnic, and are always willing to donate their energy and time, but simply put, they can’t afford to come, and I’d like some people to donate for them. It will be much appreciated and repaid many times over by their efforts for the party.

Couple more things. The next Quarterly Meeting of the Mohave County Republican Central Committee will be Saturday, July 8that Praise Chapel in Kingman at 10 AM (Executive Committee will meet from 9-10, just before the main meeting). All PC’s are expected to attend; coffee and donuts will be served. I can assure you that our Executive Committee is working extremely hard and will continue to do so to make our party the best in the state, if not the nation. I am always available for anything that will grow our party, because I truly believe that we are in a battle, if not a war, for the soul of our country, and, as anyone who has witnessed the goings’ on in Hollywood, on college campuses, and elsewhere can plainly see, if the Democrat (really the Communist) Party were ever to take power, they will turn our country into something akin to the People’s Republic of Venezuela. So let’s stay active and aware!!!

I always love to discuss this, as well as whatever is on your mind, on the radio at the “Tri-states Number One AM/FM Radio Leader”, KAAA and KZZZ. You can listen from 6 – 9 AM Mondays and Wednesdays on 1490 AM or 97.5 FM in Kingman and 1490 AM and 94.1 FM in Bullhead City, as well as on the web at You can call the show at 928-753-1230 or 928-763-1490 or toll-free at 844-219-1250. I have some great stuff on Jeremy Corbin in England for Monday that I’ll talk about, or whatever else the callers want to discuss. We have guests, too, though this Monday it’ll be just you and I.

And, just in case anyone is interested, I’ve been invited to be the guest on the “Chipsnsalsashow on KFNX 1100 AM in Phoenix tomorrow (the 24th) from about 4-5 PM. You can listen on the web – just Google KFNX and click on the icon on the top right.

Again, thanks to everyone for all they do. You’ve made this such a wonderful place to be a Republican, and I look forward to growing our party and meeting wonderful new people.

LAURENCE SCHIFF, M.D.
