January 19th –Spanish 7:00 pm
January 26 -English 7:00 pm
Liberty High School was the only campus that was invited to the Orientatin.
There was a great turn out for the English presentation, standing room.
· MUSD MCCAP Update
-Bert Puente
Bert reported no updates on the status of MUSD and MCCAP. He stated Janet Grossnicklaus (Director of Curriculum, Instruction, & Assessment Madera Unified School District) will be meeting with MUSD directors to make a decision. He’s hoping to notify the Madera Center of the decision within the next two days. In the meantime, Bert requested to not processed with applications, placement, orientation.
Maria reminded Bert of March 11th, priortiy registrartion date. All Material needs to be turned in on this date to ensure registration.
· CPT Dates
Students MUST know their SSN for computerized testing. Please advice of any students that don’t have a SSN so Dan Rivera can make arrangements prior to testing.
LHS- Liberty High School Has Tested
MHS- Pending decision from MUSD
MSHS-Pending decision from MUSD
· Priority Registration Date –March 11, 2011
MCCAP Packet to include:
-Application for Admission
-High School Enrichment Application
-HS transcripts
-CPT
Maria Reminded Counselors of all material to be included in the MCCAP packet. Copies of the High School Enrichment applications and applicaotn for admission were given to counselors.
Progress Reports Due Dates
6 week –LHS Progress Reports due February 18th. Karie will drop off progress report rosters the week prior to due date. Maria will fax to Karie by February 17th.
12 week – MHS & MSHS due March 18th. Eduardo and Lori will turn in progress report rosters at the March 2nd meeting. Maria will fax to MHS & MSHS by March 17th.
Final Grades –MSH & MSHS due June 2nd. Maria will fax grades on June 1st.
· Upward Bound
-Monica Nolasco- Monica report on Trio Day, day of giving back is set for February 12, 2012. Revitalization will begin at 8:00 a.m.. Students, administrations and members of the community will revitalize the Vista De Sierra Neighborhood.

Maria reminded high school counselors of the upcoming holidays. High school counselors will remind students that they will need to attend college courses even if they have a holiday at their school. High school student will report to the library or media when the scheduled college holidays.
