The Hope Service will be held Sunday, April 2, 2017 during the Morning Worship Service. We will be honoring those whom we have lost this past year.
Today is the last day to order a lily to be placed on the altar for Easter Sunday in memory/honor of a loved ones. Envelopes are available in the annex and need to be prepaid by today.. The cost is $8.50. Please fill out an envelope and place it in the offering plate. Please indicate how many lilies you want and include a check or cash. Thank you…
EASTER EGG HUNT The Christian Education Commission will sponsor a community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at 1 p.m. Weather permitting the hunt will be held at the grove. If the weather is inclement it will be held in the Fellowship Hall. There will be devotions, and activities for the children such as face painting and of course a Easter Egg hunt. Watch the bulletin for additional details.
If anyone would like to help with Easter Baskets for the Boswell food pantry. Please bring your donations of candy, stuffed bunnies, small toys or books to Friends in Faith class by April 2nd. If you have any questions, call Cathi Neuhof at 798-7282. Thank You.
C.T.A.M. – Easter Cantata…Practice for the annual Easter Cantata will be held todayat Kaufman Mennonite Church from 2 – 4 pm. The Cantata, What Love is This will be performed at Kaufman Mennonite Church on Palm Sunday, April 9th at 7:00 pm. Anyone interested in singing is invited to attend practices.
The C.T.A.M. would like to add a children’s Bell Choir to the service. If you have a child that would like to join, they will practice April 2, from 4 – 4:30 at Kaufman Mennonite church. They will join the Easter Cantata and perform April 9th.
Good Friday Services, sponsored by the C. T. A. M., will be held Friday, April 14 from 1 – 3 pm at Bethel United Methodist church in Hollsopple. Speakers are: Pastor Dave Bowman, Bethel United Methodist; Pastor Nila Cogan, St. Thomas Lutheran; Pastor Wes Yoder, Kaufman Mennonite Church and Pastor Brian Simons, Tire Hill CoB.

Women’s Fellowship Chicken BBQ
April 22, 2017 from 3 – 6 p.m.
Women’s Fellowship” Chicken Barbeque is scheduled for April 22, 2017. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children 11 and under. Meal includes ½ Chicken, baked potato, baked beans, applesauce, roll and dessert. Donations benefit the Women’s Fellowship.

COB Home…Shoe Project. We are once again collecting new or used shoes as a fund raiser for the Home. Place a rubber band around each pair and place it in the box by the elevator in the lobby
Camp Harmony will be selling Nut Rolls again this year. There is a sign-up sheet at both entrances. They will be made at Camp on April 10 & 11. (call to volunteer to help). Camp staff will deliver to your church or you may pick them up at camp on Apr. 11 after 2 p.m. See bulletin board for more info.
Camp HarmonyFish Fry & Community LentenService April 2. Fish Fry from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. $10. (purchase tickets in advance thru Camp Harmony or Amy Fisher). Menu: Baked/Fried Fish, Haluski/Mac N Cheese, Cole Slaw/Applesauce, Vegetable, Dessert. Ice cream sundaes to follow the Lenten Service.Lenten Service 6:45 – 8 pm. at Camp.

Sympathy
We extend our Christian Sympathy to the family and friends of Anna Ruth Spangler. Anna Ruth passed away March 20.
ATTENTION CHURCH BOARD MEMBERS
The Nominating Committee will be meeting in the near future to prepare the 2017-2018 Church Board Ballot. PLEASE NOTE: any commission member having served one (1) 5-year term is eligible to serve the 2nd, 5-year term. Anyone having served two (2) consecutive 5-year terms needs to step down for one year. This will provide the opportunity for someone else to serve.
The Nominating committee is asking that each commission strive to nominate at least two (2) names to fulfill the open position on their commission.

St Francis Sharing & Caring Food Pantry:
St. Francis is changing how they ask for donations. They ask that we donate CEREAL for the entire year of2017. There is a box in the annex for the donations. The new Thrift Shop is now open. Why not stop in and check it out. They are looking for additional volunteers.
