MEN’S CONFERENCE AT CAMP MERRILL - JULY 28 - 30 – “SOMETHIN’ BETTER THAN BISCUITS”

CAMP MERRIL OVEN CAMPAIGN COMPLETED! WE EXCEEDED OUR GOAL OF $3500, RAISED $3675. THANKS, PRAISE GOD!
We exceeded our $3500 goal (collected $3675) given by 15 donors and the offering at camp. They had already purchased the oven by the time of our annual conference at Camp Merrill. It is true, we can do more collectively as ABMen/NE than individually. Thanks for your help.
DOOR MATTS FOR BUILDINGS AT CAMP MERRILL PURCHASED BY ABMEN/NE
Last April (2016) Bev Pacas informed Glen Dappen and Bob Slechta that door matts were needed for buildings at Camp Merrill, since the old ones are worn out. We believed that would be something ABMen/NE could do. They were in place for the summer camps and we paid $676.28 for them.

BAPTIST GOLF TOURNAMENTS HELP RAISE MONEY FOR THE SEMINARY SCHOLARSHIP FUND – TOTALLING $1954
Our Spring Baptist Tournament held last May (5-4-16) raised $934.50 on a cold morning (39 degrees at tee time) with 21 golfers. Then our Fall Baptist Tournament held last October (10-1-16) with only 15 golfers, raised $825. Not all of the donors in these two tournaments played in them. Then again this spring (4-22-17) we had 18 golfers who raised $194.50. From these three tourneys we raised $1954.00.
LAYMEN OF THE YEAR APPLICANTS NEEDED FOR 2017 IMMEDIATELY
Last year (2016) our “laymen of the year” was Harold Burrow. This award is given at our annual conference, so we need nomination(s) soon.
Disaster Relief Ministry (DRm)
Our two Disaster Relief Trailers are for your use in case of an emergency. One is located at Camp Merrill and the other is located at the First Baptist Church in Scottsbluff. Pastor Gary Cole has expressed his appreciation. Please contact Jim Musick (402-980-0612) or Bob Slechta (402-677-0618)
ABMEN/USA - BOB SLECHTA IS OUR CURRENT PRESIDENT – STATES THEY HAVE BEEN BUSY ALREADY THIS YEAR
Both men and women have given countless hours volunteering at a number of sites, including the following: Green Lake Conference Center Mission Work Party in April and September of each year; Bacone College Disaster Response/Mission Work Party in June and August of last year and again same times this year; First Crow Indian Baptist Church Work Party, Lodge Grass MT last September; Disaster Relief Teams Responding to floods in various regions. You can help support ABMen/USA through the Key Contributor Campaign - $100 per year.
