2009

June to September - MITs choose four or more days of training from:

·  Add+Vantage MR Course 1 (5 days)

·  Add+Vantage MR Course 2 (3 days)

·  SNAP, Student Numeracy Assessment Progressions (2 days)

·  Counting On (3 + 2 days)

·  Math Recovery Intervention Specialist (4 + 3 + 3 days)

·  Singapore Math Strategies Conference (4 days)

·  Math Recovery Summer Institute (various options, including SNAP facilitator, AVMR Champion, Extending the Framework, MRIS course 2, Math Recovery Leadership)

·  Landscape of Intervention (1 day)

·  PIMSER One-to-one (2 days)

·  Adaptive Schools (2 + 2 days)

June to September – All MITs attend one of the eight one-day AdMIT Events with an Administrator.

August/September – Randomly selected MITs administer Terra Nova to intervention students in selected grades before beginning intervention.

August 24 to September 15 – Level 1 MITs complete the online Beliefs and Attitudes Survey and the online LMT.

Late August – All MITs complete KCM MIT/School online database as directed by the KCM.

Beginning September and ongoing through May – Level 1 MITs attend weekly Centra meetings; Level 2 + MITs attend monthly Centra meetings.

Early September – MITs complete training surveys as requested.

Early September and ongoing, as needed – All MITs contribute monthly thoughtful comments and resources to the KCM Forum.

Mid-September and ongoing, as needed – All MITs complete the online student database as directed by the KCM.

Late-September – Selected MITs complete the online TN database for intervention students in selected grade levels as directed by the KCM.

Late-September – MIT buddies are established and prompted for contact.

September to November – All MITs attend an in-person collegial team meeting (new Math Recovery Intervention Specialist candidates for certification attend a CTM lead by Gwen Morgan, Cindy Aossey, Linda Jewell or Jonathan Thomas).

October – KCM scores and records Terra Nova results in database.

October 10 – All MITs attend the annual KCTM Conference. (Level 2+ MITs opt to present at one of the state conferences, or online symposium, or submit 5 annotated video clips.)

August to December – All MITs make one peer visit.

November – Math Recovery Intervention Specialist (MRIS) Candidates submit Assessment Project.

2010

January/February – All MITs attend the KCM Conference (dates & location TBD). (Level 2+ MITs opt to present at one of the state conferences, or online symposium, or submit 5 annotated video clips.)

January to February – All MITs attend an in-person collegial team meeting (new Math Recovery Intervention Specialist candidates for certification attend a CTM lead by Gwen Morgan, Cindy Aossey, Linda Jewell or Jonathan Thomas).

January to May – All MITs make one peer visit.

Ongoing – Randomly selected MITs administer Terra Nova to entering/exiting intervention students in selected grades and update the TN database, as needed.

March to April – All MITs attend an in-person collegial team meeting (new Math Recovery Intervention Specialist candidates for certification attend a CTM lead by Gwen Morgan, Cindy Aossey, Linda Jewell or Jonathan Thomas).

May - Randomly selected MITs administer Terra Nova to all exited or exiting intervention students in selected grades and update the TN database, as needed. All MITs complete the online student database, as necessary.

May/June - All MITs complete LMT, Beliefs and Attitudes Survey, and other program/support surveys.

June – MRIS candidates submit Case Study.
