Math Fact Menu
Pick one activity each night M-Th (at least 10 minutes) and make sure to focus on just the times tables we are doing each week. If the activity is not something you are able to pass in (website, card game, etc.) you can send in this form each day and have a parent sign the box with the activity you chose and add the date. You can also come up with ideas of your own and add them to the bottom. Try to do at least 2 different activities each week.
Story ProblemsWrite 5 multiplication or division story problems. Solve them using a number sentence and arrays. / War
Play with a deck of cards. Each person lays down one card and multiplies it by the focus for the week. The person with the greater product wins the cards. / Flash Cards
Pick the facts you have a harder time with or want to get better at and make flash cards for them and practice. / Computer Time
Go to or any website or app where you are able to focus on the specific times table we are studying in class.
Mental Math
Have someone at home give you facts to practice mentally. / Dice Facts
Play with two dice. Each person rolls both dice and adds the numbers together. Multiply that number times the focus for the week. The person with the higher product gets a point. / Flashlight Math
Use flashcards and flip two cards at a time. Kids shine the flashlight on the one they know and give the answer. If you get it wrong, add it back to the deck. The other one goes back into the deck. / Number Draw
Partners put both hands behind their backs. On the count of three, partners draw and show fingers 0-10. The first person to multiply their partners fingers times the focus, wins the round.
Time Yourself
Write down as many facts as you can from 0 to at least 10 and see how long it takes you. Try again and see if you can beat your time. / Three is the Magic #
Write multiplication facts based on the focus 3 times each. / Your Choice / Your Choice
