Math 116 – Spring 2008 – OLD EDITION OF THE BOOK (8TH)

Homework:

In order to study you need to read the book and solve problems from each of the sections covered in class. Even though I will not collect this homework, if you want to succeed in the class, it’s imperative you do it.

Ask for help as soon as you need it. There are some tutors available in the Math Science Center (MT 02). You can also come during my office hours. Please come ready with concise and organized questions. I should be your last resource!

Quizzes will be based in the homework problems and in the examples and guided exercises that are solved within the sections of the book.

Assignments are due at the beginning of your class. I will not accept papers late. If you happen to miss class, you need to e-mail me your paper on the due date of your class.

One way of studying is doing the online homework: (not required, but very helpful)

Here is a way of doing homework using the book’s website. You will find problems similar to the ones in the book. The good thing about this feature is that you can follow the STEP BY STEP solution if you don’t know how to do the problem.

Here are the instructions in how to access the online homework:

Get into my website

Click on Our Book’s Webpage link

Click on the Navigate By Chapter drop down menu (on the left) and select a chapter

Click on ACE the test
