Mason Scholarship Foundation Application Sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Mason for students pursuing a community college, technical or certificate program
Scholarship Grants are available in the amount of $1000 per year renewable for up to two years.
Selection Criteria
●Student must reside in the Mason City School District or attend Mason High School.
●Student must seek to continue education at a community college, junior college, or qualified certificate program at a technical or trade school.
●Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate commitment to community service, strong educational motivation, leadership skills through their activities in school, faith organizations, youth groups, volunteer efforts, and work experience.
●Financial need, work experience, letter of recommendation and interview with committee and other criteria will aid in the selection process.

Please include a copy of your high school transcript with your application. ACT/SAT scores are helpful but not necessary.

As this is part of the criteria we use in the selection process, it may be a factor in the final selection. We encourage you to submit information including your FAFSA conclusion page to demonstrate financial need.

Important: Student Personal Statement:
On a separate typed document write a minimum of 300 words about why you selected your proposed program, your plans and goals for the future both short and long term.
