MARKETINGMOCHA: Consultant Marketing Strategy, Digital Marketing Jun 2014 – Ongoing

Provide Digital marketing strategy, content and multichannel marketing campaign support for development of online branding, digital and social media campaigns, SEO/SEM (Keywords, link-building, Alt tags, sitemaps), affiliate marketing, retargeting and microsites for start-ups and growing companies looking at accelerated scale-up and improved online presence as a shared resource and contract CMO. My main skills lie in building the entire marketing structure of a start-up from concept to execution, analytics and course correction for growth.

My focus centres on the use of content and social media to build momentum for small firms through authority marketing, programmatic social media advertising and structured approach to utilizing curated content.

Projects & Accomplishments:

·  Branding and launch marketing for an ecommerce start-up in South-East Asia focused on Islamic shoppers, with a potential market size of $2.8 billion annually.

·  Social media marketing, branding and lead generation using Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest for a fitness training academy in New Jersey, USA to generate 40% growth YOY.

·  Digital Marketing and programmatic ad campaigns (PPC) for a Real Estate Developer in Mumbai that netted over 400,000 impressions, 600 clicks, 90 leads and sales of over Rs. 5 Crores ($800,000).

Built the entire marketing effort from the ground up - planning the structure, marketing communication, website, digital and content strategy to managing social media, online content and lead maturation funnel for the company. Starting fresh, built the entire marketing team of 8 resources spanning website, intranet, social media, content and marketing automation.

The main challenge lay in the fact that the company had not invested in a marketing team and relied on account management and lead generation through referrals and cold-calling to pitch its solutions. This gave it a low standing as the company had little recognition in spite of handling marquee clients in media, healthcare and e-commerce domains.

Projects & Accomplishments:

·  E-mail and social media marketing campaigns and content marketing activities resulting in 25 new leads and 12 new clients (50% growth) in 2013-14, representing revenue of $0.85 million (6% growth).

·  Piloted the website redesign including Keywords, SEO, Content strategy, curation and setting up the Editorial calendar to better showcase the offerings of the company.

·  Launched company’s Social media marketing efforts through Leadership marketing initiatives using focused content generation on the company blog, Twitter, LinkedIn, Slideshare, etc. with further expansion into platforms such as Facebook, Pinterest and YouTube.

·  Drove the integrated marketing focus across the company’s external and internal communications to bring about strategic integration of social media marketing, search engine marketing and email marketing.

·  Launched the employee-driven content marketing engine by creating a structure where respective project and vertical heads were responsible for content creation driven by awards and gamification initiatives – badges, mementos and gift vouchers.
