  • 1. “Read daily with child and provide time for independent reading”

  • 1. Provide workshops for parents to connect with teachers to learn how they are teaching the curriculum
  • 2. “Student-Led conferences bi-annually”
  • Share student goals with parents during conferences, and include tasks they can do at home to reach their goals
  • 2. Clarify “failing” – below 70 grade average
  • 3. Include Parent Portal
  • For next year: Consider changing Communication Folders to Wednesday Folders (instead of Tuesday)
  • 5. Provide a VIPS Coordinator as POC for parents interested in getting involved
  • Parent Responsibilities: Embrace cultural differences and teach child to speak and act in respectful ways
  • Student Responsibilities: Do not engage in any time of bullying, act respectfully towards peers
