Marine Animal Project Oceanography 2015 Ms. McElroy/Ms. Patterson

Students will produce a 2 part project about their chosen animal and its environment.

Part A / Part B
Students must produce a poster with required facts about their animal (AT LEAST AS BIG AS HALF A POSTER BOARD)
OR
Students must produce a PowerPoint Presentation with required facts about their animal (AT LEAST 10 SLIDES LONG). Project must be emailed to me by class time on the due date. / A LARGE DRAWING (ON PLAIN PAPER AT LEAST A BIG AS COPY PAPER)
OR
A 3D MODEL MEASURING AT LEAST 6 INCHES BY 6 INCHES (MADE OF ANY MATERIAL EXCEPT FOOD)
Model or drawing must be student’s own work and must be separate from the poster or PowerPoint.

***Drawing or model can be of just the animal or of the animal in its environment. Do not attach fact sheet to poster! Poster needs to present the material in a visually appealing way. These two things must be separate! (Your picture/model must be separate from your poster/presenation).

DUE DATES: May 14th (Thursday) for EVEN and May 15 (Friday) for ODD. 10pts will be deducted for each day the project is late.

The work for this project is expected to take place outside of class time. It is an independent research activity and is worth a TEST GRADE. All sources and pictures must be referenced on the back of your poster or on a reference slide– WIKIPEDIA IS NOT A VALID SOURCE! See blog for help.
