Once you have answered the questions above you can start planning in more detail the steps you need to take to design and present your idea.

Planning helps you to decide what you want to do and how you can do it. In this project, planning also helps you to work out how your work will fit in with that of all the other pupils in the class.

The plan diagram on page 1 shows you that it is critical that everyone has completed their small drawing before the big drawing can be started – you must plan for this. It is a milestone in your project planning.

Look at your answers to the earlier questions and use them to help you clarify your plan by answering some more questions:

• Is there anything that you need to know before you can start? If so what, and where will you get help.

• You will be sharing files with someone else. Who will that be?

• When does the task have to be finished by?

Planning ahead

Check to see if you need to book/ ask for any equipment now:

• Mention any special equipment that you will need to have to do the task.

• When do you need to use it?

• How will you arrange for computer time and use of apparatus to do the task?

• Who do you need to see so that I can book it?
