Qualifications and general experience /
  • Qualified to degree level
  • Qualified teacher status
  • Evidence of commitment to further professional training
  • At least 5 years school teaching experience, including recent experience in a Senior- or Middle-leadership position
  • Has taught across at least 2 Key Stages
  • Satisfactory Enhanced Disclosures and Barring Service Disclosure

  • Leadership experience
  • Has higher level Safeguarding training (DDSP and/or Safer Recruitment)

Professional knowledge and experience /
  • Understanding of challenges involved in leadership and management in a primary school
  • Up-to-date understanding of the foundation stage and primary curriculum and assessment
  • Involvement in school development planning, including implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Teaching and Learning
  • Evidence of working innovatively – being forward thinking – in relation to teaching and learning
  • Ability to use data as a school improvement tool
