Audience: This course is aimed at staff who have a responsibility for moving and handling/ Hoisting people as part of their job role.

Important note: To attend this course, you must have completed the On Line Me Learning Moving and Handling for Education, Health & Social Care course (this must have been completed within 12 weeks prior to the date of this practical session).

·  Demonstrate the importance of safe manual handling Identify the meaning of a TILE assessment

·  Identify controversial moving and handling techniques

·  Identify appropriate legislation around the safe use of equipment

·  List visual checks which need to be undertaken prior to using equipment

·  Identify how to report faulty / broken equipment
