Responsibilities

Bernie is the Managing Director for the National Crisis Management Practice. Bernie is responsible for Product Recall and Contamination Insurance Specialty, development of program design and placement structure, coordination of crisis management global team for placement and claims, liaison to underwriters, on-going servicing of specialty policy requirements.

Experience/Qualifications

Bernie has specialized in product recall and contamination since 1987 and is recognized as one of the country’s leading product recall and contamination insurance specialists. Bernie spent 12 years on the underwriting side of this class and was involved in the development of the first policies designed to address this risk. Since 2000, he has been a broker specializing in the placement of product contamination, product recall and food borne illness insurances domestically, in the U.K. and Bermuda. Bernie has led Aon Risk Solutions Crisis Management Practice since 2010. He has placed coverage for a wide variety of Fortune1000 companies ranging from some of the largest food service and manufacturing companies, to automotive component parts manufacturers. He is a frequent author and speaker on these classes of specialty insurance.

·  Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Arizona

·  Master in International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird)

·  Licensed Property and Casualty Producer and Surplus Lines Broker in numerous States

·  Fluent in German
