Video

Copies available today. Please let us know how your municipality is using them. We have sent copies to all the libraries, but it would be a good idea to check with your local branch to see if they have put it on the shelves. If your community has a local cable access channel, please be sure they have a copy and let us know how often and when they are playing it. Videos are also being distributed to video rental stores and being put on the “loaner” or “free” shelves.

Radio Campaign

The 2007 media campaign on WMGN-FM (Magic 98), WWQM-FM (Q106), WHLK-FM (93.1 The Lake) and WTDY-AM 1670 (The Pulse) aired March through June. PSAs are currently airing on 93.1 The Lake throughout the summer. Many, MANY thanks to everyone who helped staff the table at the Dane County Fair. This booth was provided courtesy of Mid-West Family Broadcasting as a part of our media campaign. The fall campaign will begin at the end of August and run through the full week of October. The campaign features popular personalities such as Rocky Rococo, Charlie Shortino, Katie Sai, Karen Johannsen, Barry Alvarez, Coach Bret Bielema, Mike Leckrone and many more. We had seven different ads for spring, seven new ads for fall and separate PSAs that have been playing throughout the campaign.

2008 Plant Dane!

Grant applications are now available for 2008 and will be on the web soon. The deadline has been moved up to November 16, 2007.

DNR Urban Grant Application

We submitted an application to the DNR Urban Grant Program for $20,000 to administer a final survey for the five-year permit period and hire a consultant to develop our next five-year outreach plan. We ranked 21 out of over 50 applications. If this program makes it through the state budget process, I’m optimistic about our chances of receiving this grant.

Next Five-Year Plan

Until we know for sure that we are receiving the grant, the I&E Committee is not counting on it. So, we are seeking input from the larger group as to your top three ideas for outreach over the 2009-2013 period. The Committee will then take these ideas to develop our next plan as we review the first one.

2007 Fall Leaf Campaign

Interest from neighborhood groups to post signs and deliver brochures.

Requests for Presentations

Have been receiving requests monthly to speak about MAMSWaP and our outreach.
