Malindi Fickle, Producer/Director
Malindi is the founder of Hyperbaric Productions. By the People, the company’s first film and Malindi’s feature film directing debut, is dedicated to the people who participate in keeping democracy alive. Malindi hasbeen a director, producer and actor in New York City for over fourteen years. Directing/producing credits include: “Savior” at the Manhattan Ensemble Theater, produced by Beth O’Neal; “Escape From Happiness”; and the world premiere of “A Floating Roof Above Your Head”. As an actress, her feature films include: Sharon Pollack’s Everything Relative (Sundance Film Festival); Jacklight (Cannes Critic’s Selection) and St. Andrew’s Girls (TVA Films). Malindi graduated Summa Cum Laude from New York University.
Marion Lear Swaybill, Consulting Executive Producer
Swaybill is an Emmy award-winning producer whose work has been featured nationally and internationally on broadcast and cable networks, in theaters and at film festivals. Swaybill’s numerous award-winning productions include A Normal Life, winner, Best Feature Documentary at the Tribeca Film Festival; and for PBS Witness: Voices from the Holocaust, Dialogues with Elie Wiesel; A Dangerous Man (International Emmy for Drama); Bubbe Meises (two Metropolitan Area Emmys); Channel Crossings (Peabody and DW Griffith awards); Metrocosms (Metropolitan Area Emmy), among many others. Swaybill was consulting executive producer on the award-winning KZ, selected for documentary competition at Sundance, 2006 and numerous other festivals worldwide.
Liza Politi, Producer
Lizais the Co-Founder and Creative Director of the Statement Arts, a not for profit organization that believes in the power of art to inspire social and cultural change. She has worked with Kids with Cameras, an international arts program stemming from the 2004 Academy Award-winning documentary Born into Brothels. In 2000, Liza was presented with the Joseph P. Reilly Award from the Screen Actors Guild in recognition for her efforts in resolving a national strike. In 2003, the FDNY honored her for a 9/11 community outreach program that she co-founded for them. Liza graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, winning the Lee Strasberg Award for acting in her final year. She has spent 15 years working as an actress and model in New York City. This is her first documentary film.
Jennifer Fitzgerald, Producer
Jennifer is an actor, writer and producer in New York City and Los Angeles. She has produced industrial films for Sports Illustrated for Kids and Travel and Leisure through her production company Butch Films. As an actor, Jennifer recently appeared in the Best of Slamdance 2004 The Dry Spell and was nominated for an LA Weekly best comedic ensemble award for her role in the LA premiere of “Swimming in the Shallows”. She wrote and is currently performing “Memoirs of a Flaker”, a comedic one-woman show.
