Maintenance worker Job Description and Profile

Maintenance worker basically repairs and does the general maintenance work. The Job is to perform routine and extensive range of work in the repair and general maintenance of facilities, buildings, and equipment under general supervision. They execute work within established procedures and process under both verbal and written instructions.

Duties and Responsibilities

• A maintenance worker basically performs the work of repairing or general maintenance .he also used to do the work of facilities, buildings, grounds, and equipment at various sites of the company or organization. The work will include electrical, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, glazier, and painting tasks.
• He or she will also has to do the maintenance work so this will include repairing and treating structures such as showers, floors, sinks, walls, carpets and roofs and other equipments of office.
• He or she will have to perform minor repairs such as troubleshooting, and adjustment of locks on cabinets, locks, closets, desks of the offices.
• He or she will also have to do other jobs such as repairing door hinges and will have to clean plugged key slots he or she will also has to change filters onventilating, heating, and air conditioning units.
• He or she will have to do the mechanical work like servicing kitchen and other related appliances, and emergency equipment and then if there is any requirement report to mechanical malfunctions to party for taking action.
• He or she will have to move means travel if there is any need andwill have to assist in transportation of furniture and equipment.
• He or she will have the ability to set up break down cubicle partitions and then will also have to exercise discretion to identify projects that need higher skilled crafts individual’s services.
• He or she will have to activate andalso deactivate building alarms and responding to alarm calls after and during regular work hours of the office.

Skills and Specifications

• Applicant should have the ability to use various power and hand tools very efficiently and actively.
• Applicant should have the ability to operate a forklift also.
• Applicant needs to follow oral or written instructions if it is needed.
• Applicant will be able to communicate efficiently and fluently in both written and oral form as it is the requirement.
• Applicant should have the ability to establish and then will be able to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with the people.

Education and Qualifications

• Basic Degree or high school education in any field from an accredited college will be enough for the job.
• Candidate should have a valid driver’s license for doing the job.
