D.  Purpose of the changes:

The data formats of the national cheque clearing procedures in Germany (Image-based Cheque Collection [ISE] and Paperless Cheque Collection [BSE]) will be migrated from the domestic DTA-format to ISO 20022 in November 2016. The legally binding cheque agreement and traveller cheque agreement of the German Banking Industry Committee (Die Deutsche Kreditwirtschaft - DK) and Deutsche Bundesbank have been revised and will come into effect at 21 November 2016. For technical and legal reason it is necessary to identify the underlying procedure. Therefore a new service level code is necessary in addition to the existing external code set.
