QUALIFICATIONS

Operations- Engineering Officer of the Watch (EOOW) and Reactor Fill Control Room Watch (RFCRW) during two ORSE evaluations. Testing- Coordinated installation and testing of major electrical equipment, tested containment boundary valves and containment vessel as Shift Test Engineer. Other tests involve obtaining reactor kinetic data which were used in determining plant operational limits.Maintenance - Provided vital safety systems certification following critical component replacement. Qualified Engineer Officer of the Watch (EOOW) Control Room (2006 – Present Non-Navy)

  • Stand watch in the engine room and Maneuvering room, at Ballston Spa with the United States Navy.
  • Supervise a crew of 40 people during both steaming operations and maintenance shutdowns.
  • Directs operators on electric plant shift, propulsion plant bells and all required maintenance.

Nuclear Plant Engineer (NPE) (2007-Present)Support System Control Room

  • Coordinate complex maintenance evolutions between various subcontractors (Electric Boat), shipyards (PSNS), union workers, and Navy personnel.
  • Supervise a surveillance program to assess crew’s performance while operating the plant, performing maintenance and training students.

Reactor Fill Control Room Watch (2007-Present)

  • Maintain readiness of Emergency Core Cooling System including all valves, pumps, Diesel and Generators.

PresentShift Test Engineer (2007—Present) Engine Room

  • Supervised a crew of 40 people on establishing complex propulsion plant conditions, and proving complex tagouts that led to a successful installation.
  • Responsible for Navy experimental test on Ship Service Turbine Generators.

Qualified Reactor Plant Simulator (2007—Present)

  • Control plant operations outside maneuvering using sophisticated mainframes computers for training purposes which includes casualty drills and plant transients. Control all valves, pumps, control systems, and maneuvering indications.
