Magic 96.5 To Bring Happiness To People Stuck In Jefferson County Courthouse Lines

Birmingham, AL, October 12th, 2011- Rob and Jeannine from the New Magic Morning Show on Magic 96.5 will deliver 20 boxes of Krispy Kreme doughnuts this morning to the people in line at the downtown Birmingham County Courthouse. The show has been receiving calls and emails telling them about how long and unbearable the courthouse lines are. Today they plan to do something about it.

“We hope to provide a little relief and laughter from the long lines forming here at the courthouse,” said Jeannine Jersey, morning show host for Magic 96.5.

Rob Conrad, the other half of the morning show duo, will also bring his tortoise out the courthouse to test his theory that the tortoise moves faster than the line at the courthouse.

“Her (tortoise’s) name is Miss Dickie, and we have a special carrot system rigged to entice her to walk the line as fast as possible,” said Rob.

“Miss Dickie” is Rob’s pet Tortoise, and is the size of a Radio Flyer wagon. His pet is somewhat of a local celebrity. Rob takes her to parks on the weekends to play with the kids, and he regularly receives calls from listeners requesting her presence at birthday parties and special events.

Rob and Jeannine plan to be at the courthouse at 9:30am with doughnuts and tortoise in tow.
