THREE STARS AND A WISH
Children in Need Day An astonishing £369.90 was raised. Many thanks for your support.
Thanks very much to the PTFA members who have been selling the Fiesta tickets and Secret Room places. If you’ve missed out this week, you may still have a chance. Send in a request in an envelope to the office:
- Christmas Fiesta Child’s Passport (including a visit to Father Christmas) £5
- Secret Room – a present for another member of the family at £2.50 each
- Christmas Shows tickets - £1 each (see performance times above)
Well done to the children for their improving number bonds. They are much more whizzy with speedy responses. Next week, we’ll be doubling and halving numbers up to 10.
Christmas Cards
A list of the children in your child’s class will be coming home next week. Please can you help your child to write the name and the class on the envelope so that our little elves (Year 4s) can sort them out correctly. Also, we ask that all cards are put in the Christmas boxes rather than handed out. This makes sure that no child is upset by feeling left out as they then receive them all on the last day of term in one big pile!
APPLYING FOR A NEW SCHOOL PLACE
DO YOU HAVE A CHILD WHO IS DUE TO START SCHOOL IN SEPTEMBER 2016 (DOB between 01/09/2011 - 31/08/2012) OR DO YOU HAVE A CHILD WHO IS CURRENTLY IN YEAR 4 AND DUE TO TRANSFER TO A MIDDLE SCHOOL IN SEPTEMBER 2016?
If so, you need to apply for a school place before the closing date of 15th January 2016. For further information you can view the Starting School booklet and apply on line at: www.somerset.gov.uk/admissions or you can request a paper application from Somerset Direct on 0300 123 2224
