Guys! On November 16that 6pm, we will be having a Rough & Tough competition at Lakewood High School. What is Rough & Tough?? It’s a Boys Volleyball tournament. Picture Powder Puff but boys volleyball. The Lady Leopard volleyball players will coach and referee and run the tournament. Any guys that want to play, please see a “coach”. Grace Hairr, Krislyn Bullard, Tamia Rich, and Ally Grace Royal.

Lakewood High School Leopard Pride Marching band competed at the South Columbus High School Stallion Classic Band Competition thispast Saturday.They were bumped up to Class 2A competing against 3 other bands. The results for Lakewoodfrom this class were:

2nd Place Music; 1st place Marching; 2nd place General Effect; 2nd place Drum Major; 2nd place Percussion; 2nd place Color Guard and a 1st place ranking overall in class 2A.

In addition to the 3 other bands in class 2A, Lakewood also outscored the 2 bands in class 1A to become the 2017 Stallion Class 1A/2A GRAND CHAMPIONS!!!

Attention Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors age 16 and under, Sampson County 4-H Teen Court will be having an interest meeting Saturday, November 18 at 9 AM until 3 PM.It will be held at Pizza Inn in Clinton. Please see Ms. Ware for more information..

Attention Sophomores and Juniors: The Rural Electric Youth Tour Applications are available from Ms Ware. Selected applicants will spend a week this summer in Washington DC free of charge and will be eligible for a $1,000 scholarship at the end of their senior year.

"Can YOU ball? Join the Hoops for FBLA competition next week during your lunch to prove your skills. A trophy will be awarded to the winners in the following categories: Free Throw, Three Point, and Longest Distance. Pay only a dollar for your chance to be the best!"

Attention Seniors - The cost of yourdiploma and cover is $17- Please see Mrs. Wood or Mrs. Helms to pay. The cost will go up to $20 after December 20th so pay as soon as possible.

Teachers,

Dress in your favorite costume, tomorrow, Tuesday, October 31st.Coordinate your costume with your department, friends or go solo. The staff always votes on the best dressed up student during Spirit Week,now it is their turn to vote on us! The students will be allowed to dress up too but staff will be the only ones voted on. If you have questions, please let the PAWS Club committee members know.

The CACRAO (college fair) is scheduled for Friday, November 3rd. Any JUNIOR or SENIOR who does not have a signed field trip form on file will not be allowed to attend.Thank You!

Attention Seniors,

College Application Week is right around the corner. It will be November 13th-17th. Please see Ms. Ware and sign up for a date and time.

Junior and senior beta club members need to pay Mr. Williams or Mrs. Henrytheir $10 tee shirt money as soon as possible.

There’s still time to join Key Club. Pick up an application between MsMillem and Mrs William’s doors. Dues must be paid by Nov 3rd.

SGA is still holding Socktober. The 1st block class with the most donations will win a tardy pass for each student. Bring your new socks or new and gently used coats to donate. This will run through tomorrow Oct 31st. Help Sock out the cold!

Congratulations to the varsity football team on their 47-0 win over Princeton.

Cross Country participated in the Regional Meet on Saturday. They ran a great race!

Boys basketball tryouts start TODAY!You must have a physical to try out.

Girls basketball practice and tryouts will begin Wednesday, Nov. 1st from 5-7pm. You MUST have a physical to tryout. See Coach Murphy if you have any questions.

Winter track tryouts will begin Monday Nov 6th. You must have a physical to try out. See Coach Hulen or Coach Davidson.
