Main Achievements

Corporación Nacional del Cobre – Codelco - Corporate Internal Auditor

  • Rationalize and unify the audit management, its control, organic structure, procedures and executive reports in four mining divisions. The objective was to ensure standard quality, opportunity and synergies.
  • Promote and lead the first corporate audit planning, following the corporate strategy, focused on key processes with risk exposure.
  • Design a special automatic system in order to follow and measure implant processing, for auditing improvement recommendations.
  • Introduce the standard practice and concept of COSO methods, Sarbanes & Oxley law and Self Assessment Internal Control procedures.
  • Created two administration projects: a) How to modernize the Auditing Division, and b) Installing a corporate risk system

Banco Conosur (today Banco Nova) – Controller

  • Promote and lead the first unified handbook and auditing procedures under international standards for banking operations.
  • Create and implement a project about the new function and organization of the internal audit division. The new structure followed the company’s mission, strategic objective, key process, main risk and effective controls.
  • Introduction of modern technological changes, which brought on an important increase and improvement of the auditing remote test.
  • Implant and coordinate the first corporate self-assessment for management and quality control. This was applied in all divisions with annual risk qualifications.
  • Design and establish a special automatic system for following and measuring progress for implanting audit recommendations.
