LSQW International Quilt Festival Bus Trip

Lone Star Quiltworks is pleased to announce we will be hosting our annual bus trip to the 37th International Quilt Festival at the George R.BrownConvention Center in Houston. For those of you who have not attended IQF before this is the largest quilt show in the world. We are extremely lucky to have this show right in our own backyard. The 2011 show will feature 1500 hung quilts as part of many exhibits, and over 1,100 vendor booths. Go to for more specific information about the show.
The date for our trip will be Friday, November 4th, 2011. Please note the shop will beclosed this day to allow our employees to join us.
Our plans are as follows:
1)Meet in the parking lot ofLSQW at 8AM Friday, November 4th, 2011. We plan to board the bus and depart by 8:30AM. A light breakfast will be served on the bus. The bus will be chartered from First Class Tours and has a 50 seat capacity. Please park around the PERIMETERof the shopping center to aid our sister businesses with access to their front doors during our absence that day.
2)Arrival in Houston is anticipated to be at 10AM when the doors to the convention center open. We will be dropped off and picked up at Hall E. Your ticket into the show will be provided for you, so you will not have to stand in line to purchase one!
3)You will be able to shop the over 1,100 vendors all day from 10AM to 6:30PM. LSQW will provide you with information regarding where you can take a shopping break during the day; rest your feet, eat a bite of lunch, have an iced soda or a Starbucks coffee. Motorized wheelchairs are available for rental from the convention center. They cannot be rented through LSQW.
4)At 6:30PM we will board the return bus to Bryan. We will stop on 290W at McAlister’s deli and pickup a pre-ordered boxed dinner to eat on the return bus trip. The meal will contain a dry turkey club sandwich, with condiments on the side, chips, cookie, and a drink.
5)Arrive in Bryan at LSQW parking lot around 9PM.
Our price for this trip will be $85.00 per person. This will include your transportation to and from the show, a light breakfast, tip for the bus driver, ticket into the show, a few “goodies” on the bus, and your dinner on the return trip. Please contact the shop at 979-595-1072 if you are interested in joining us.I will need to collect payment up front, however, this will guarantee your seat on the bus.
Important Note: Please be aware that this is a non-refundable purchase unless we are able to fill your slot with a potential rider from our waiting list. Should you need to cancel and we are able to fill your slot, you will be given your refund in the form of a gift certificate to the shop in the amount of the bus trip cost. Should you need to cancel and we cannot find a replacement rider you will lose your money. Please do not ask me to make exceptions to this information.
We are planning on having a fantastically fun day! Don’t forget to wear comfortable shoes and layered clothing!
