Italian-Argentine flutist.

Her approach to music started when she was six years old, playing recorder in Escuela de Música del Teatro Municipal Rafael de Aguiar , then she continued studying piano and flute.

She has a Bachelor`s Degree in Music, Flute Specialty,given by Universidad Nacional de Rosario, Argentina, which in Spain has been oficially recognized asHigher Degree in Flute".

Along her brilliant career she has been awarded scholarships by Fundación Antorchas, Fundación Teatro Colón (Argentina) and Orford Arts Centre (Canada). Which made possible for her to take classes with prestigious international teachers such as Alfredo Ianelli, Marya Martin , Robert Langevin and Julius Baker.

By background contest she was selected as an active member of the “First Seminar for Young Instrumentalists”, organized by “Consejo Nacional de la Cultura” de Venezuela (CONAC) with the help of Secretaría de Cultura de Educación de Argentina. First Flute of the Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil coming from this Seminar in concerts made in theaters of Tucumán, Salta, Rosario and Casa Rosada with the presence of the Argentine President.

Member Orchestra

She is a founding member and flute soloist, by audition, of the Orquesta Académica del Teatro Colón and Orquesta Juvenil

“Libertador San Martín”.

For more than ten years, through previous audition, she was a member of Orquesta Sinfónica Provincial de Rosario, Orquesta de Cámara Municipal de Rosario, as well as of Ensamble de Vientos de la Municipalidad de Rosario.

As a Soloist she has been conducted by Cristián Hernández Larguía, Jorge Rotter, Fernando Ciraolo, Miguel Ángel Gilardi, Andrés Spiller, Mario Benzecry, Guillermo Scarabino, Roberto Fabroni, Juan Carlos Migliaro, José María Ulla, Carlos Cuesta, Alberto Mérenzon, Dominique Fanal, Amos Meller, Peter Bellino.

Chamber Music

From 1993 and during ten years she was part of a stable duo with harpist Gabriela Russo, with whom she has played in “Midday Concerts” (“Conciertos del mediodía”) organized by Mozarteum Argentino in Teatro Ópera in Buenos Aires, Rosario, Olavarría, as well as in Misiones, Bahía Blanca, playing an exquisite repertoire of chamber music for this duo, together with the emblematic concert for flute, harp and orchestra by W.A. Mozart. In Poland together with the Symphony Orchestra of Walbrzych; in the Church of Saint.Julien-le-Pauvre in Paris conducted by Dominqiue Fanal; in New York invited by the Italian Institute of Culture and Americas Society.

Since the last twenty years she has been playing in duo with Argentine pianist Orlando Millaà, thus getting classical music closer mainly to their natal city, San Nicolás de los Arroyos, inviting important groups such as the Wind Quintet from Mozarteum Argentino or the String Quartet from Universidad de La Plata to play together with them, as well as their concerts in different cities of Argentina and Germany.

Invited by the Spanish Embassy in Libreville-Gabón, she was part of the Spanish Music Festival (Festival de Música Española), as a member of the flute and guitar duo “Aireando las cuerdas”.

Invited by the Spanish composer Antón García Abril she recorded his piece for flute and guitar “Música para una abadía” for Spanish television Antena 3.

In Casa Argentina in Israel, together with the writer Horacio Ferrer she played Estudios Tanguísticos de Piazzolla, and sponsored by “C.i.C.L.A. Centro Isarelí para las comunidades Iberoamericanas” she took part in the Show “Tango, no sólo para dos” in Suzanne Dallal Auditorium in Tell-Aviv.

She has been living in Madrid, Spain, for the last ten years, being her artistic debut in the “VII Ciclo Jóvenes Intérpretes” of “Conde Duque” Auditorium in Madrid in duo with the chelist Natasha Margulis.

CD

She has recorded a CD with “Sinfonieta Concertante” for flute, harp and orchestra from French composer Pierre Wissmer, under the baton of French conductor Dominique Fanal, as well as with the Argentine guitarist Eduardo Falú with Falú’s Segunda Suite Argentina for guitar, flute, horn and strings orchestra; with Quinteto de Tango “El Amague”, with the percussionist Javier Allende and the pianist and arranger Octavio Brunetti with the Cd: “Tango con emoción”; playing “Equilibrio”, written by Spanish composer María de Alvear for two pianos, flute, percussion and strings orchestra.

Loved of Opera, she has interpreted Lucía de Lammermoor, La Traviata, Un Ballo in Maschera, Cavallería Rusticana, Pagliacci, Il Trovatore, The Magic Flute, Carmen, la Bohéme…

Awards

In Argentina she has been honoured as “Ambassadress from all times” (“Embajadora nicoleña de todos los tiempos”) due to her social role as well as her contribution to the history and future of San Nicolás; Fundación Don Roberto Fernández Viña gave her the distinction “Raíces” for promoting, increasing and making Classical Music known; the government of the Province de Buenos Aires awarded her a Silver Medal as “Buenos Aires Woman in Music” (“Mujer Bonaerense en la Música”).

First Prize in the Chamber Music Contest organized by Fundación Antorchas-Buenos Aires, as part of the Wind Quintet “MELO”. Special Mention in the Argentine Music Contest “Banco Mayo”, Argentina. In Spain she has been awarded the Prize “Andrés Segovia-José Miguel RuizMorales” granted by Curso Universitario e Internacional de Música Española of Santiago de Compostela.

She took part of the First Tango Festival of Dublin, Ireland with Quinteto de Tango Argentino “El Amague”.

Chamber Music TODAY

She is a member of Duo Barile-Verna, who are permanently searching for and promoting important pieces which are being currently written or edited for flute or piccolo and piano. They have recently been invited by the Radio Clásica de España program “Estudio 206” to share many of their favourite scores with their audience.

She is also a member of Trio “Nova Cámara”.This Trío are always interested in promoting music composed for flute, viola and guitar, taking their music all around Spain, offering concerts in Festival de Música Española in León, “Clásicos en Verano” of Comunidad de Madrid, “Jornadas de Música Contemporánea de Segovia”, Celebración del Día Europeo de la Música, Festival de Música Contemporánea C.O.M.A.

She is part of Recorders and Flutes Duo with Argentine flutist Paola Laprovittola, with whom she comes back to her first musical instrument, the recorder.

She is a member of Trio Soare, whose main interest is the promotion of music composed for voice, flute and piano. Three instruments which in spite of the rich musical life they have on their own, can surprise us when they are together due to the beauty of their sound, from a melodic simplicity to exotic harmonic colours. They have recently played in “ExpoClasica” in Madrid, in a concert sponsored by Asociación de Mujeres en la Música, performing a complete female composed program.
