#12. Approve & enter into a service agreement with Minute Men HR Risk Management Services, Inc., Cleveland in the amount of $18,500, paid monthly at rate of $1,541.66 for claims administrator, effective retroactive to January 1, 2011 – January 1, 2014 for workers compensation; Authorize County Administrator to execute all necessary documents

Engineer:

#13. Accept and journalize the 2010 report on bridges in the county. There are 230 bridges ranging in span from 10 feet to 305 feet.

Last year the following projects were completed:

- Quarry Road Bridge #0820 – Replaced existing structure with concrete - abutments and pre-stressed concrete box beam deck.

- Baird Road Bridge #0369 – Replaced existing structure with concrete abutments and pre-cast concrete box beam deck.

The Orlean Company, Beachwood – manager member of existing residential rental development located in or within one half mile radius of the political jurisdiction and plans to utilize multifamily funding programs of the Ohio Housing Finance Agency for 1940 West 27th Street, Lorain. New Marshall Plaza, 89 units rehabilitation will be approximately $2.3 million or $26,000/unit and replace all building systems that have reached or are near end of their expected useful life. Additional upgrades will include improved security measures such as CCTV cameras and fencing.

#12. Susanne Haag, Franklin Elementary School, Elyria thanked Brandi Schnell, LCSWMD for giving a recycling presentation to three 5th grade classes and it made an impression on the 60 students

#13. ODNR National Flood Insurance Program and it’s the county’s responsibility to ensure that recently damaged structures, in federally identified special food hazard areas meet minimum federal and county flood damage prevention standards (cc: LCCDD & EMA)

#14. Local Government Fund Coalition – proposed reductions will harm Ohio communities pose immediate safety services concerns with the proposed state budget for the 2012-2013 biennium and reduce state revenue sharing through local government funds by nearly 50%, shrinking the fund from $665 million in 2011 to $339 in SFY13 and reduced by more than 20% in 2012 to $526 million.
