FEMA notification on structure located on Sublot 11, Butternut Ridge Allotment No. 2 as describe in Survivorship Deed, Statutory Form record in Volume 76179, Page 1727, I Office o Recorder, 9758 Avon Belden Road North, Carpenter Ditch is within a special flood hazard area and was elevated by placement of fill. Concerned citizen letter regarding the June 16, 2009 stadium lease agreement between the City of Avon and Avon Baseball LLC and the erroneous Ohio Dept. of Taxation real property tax exemption letter. Letter states it is appalling the county taxpayers are subsiding the Avon Recreation complex since it is a leased facility at $250,000/year to a for profit business. County Commissioners, LCCC, JVS, MRDD and other public groups are being deprived of their rightful property tax. (cc: Pros)
#14. Venessa Mowry stating Lorain County has suspended the grant funds in order for her to become a truck driver. Trucking driving money is good and she would like to fulfill this career. Also attached are letters from Great Lakes Truck Driving School, Columbia Station to Senator Brown stating that it takes 3.5 weeks to become a truck driver and people are looking at faster careers. A letter from Capital to Great Lakes Truck Driving School on their acceptance to the 2009 Growth Capital Economic Development achieve Awards. An email from Tammy Helms TCM Transportation thanking Great Lakes for a wonderful staff and qualified students. #15. Used phone book recycling for county government offices for year 2009 from Solid Waste. There are three options; 1) put in your office paper recycling contain3rs; 2) take to mail room where there is a special marked container during November and December or 3) take to nearest paper retriever container. OHEPA issued a draft permit modification on March 4 to Ross Incineration Services, Grafton to incorporate Ross Transportation Services Inc., 10 day transfer storage activities into RIS permit as a hazardous waste container storage unit. #18. 26th annual WOBLL/WDLW and Burger King hosted Holiday Cheer, a campaign to raise money that will allow Second Harvest Food Bank to buy food for those in our community who need it most. There has been $683,000 raised since 1983. Coupons will be sold for .25 cent or five for $1 that can be redeemed for burger king whopper. Candle Light Breakfast will be on November 4 from 6:30 am – 10am at Burger King, Broad Street, Elyria and for $5 donation, a free breakfast will be provided.
