Lansing Food Bank Community Service Event

Day with SWE Event

Date: Friday March 27, 2015 - Saturday March 28, 2015

Day with SWE reaches out to high school female students who have been admitted to MSU. This event shows them what it is like to be a Spartan Engineer and be involved with SWE. The goal of the event is to allow the attendees to have a connection with students at MSU so they know that if they chose to come to MSU they are joining the Spartan Family and SWE. We will have a few sessions Friday afternoon, dinner on campus followed by social time. The attendees will be hosted at SWE members’ houses/dorms.

Relay for Life

Relay for Life raises awareness and funding for the American Cancer Society to help fight cancer. Sign up and fundraise or come to the event and help out. SWEster of the Week!

Name: Kelly Patterson
Major: Mechanical Engineering
Year: Freshman
Position: National Member

Kelly Patterson is a freshman from Lansing, MI, and is excited to be a part of SWE and MSU Engineering. She is studying mechanical engineering and hopes to pursue a biomechanical concentration, which she would like to use to design prosthetics and orthotics. Kelly enjoys dancing with the MSU Dance Club and running (when the weather is decent!). She also active in Spartan Christian Fellowship. Kelly is excited to attend the SWE regional conference in March and looks forward to holding a leadership position with SWE in the future.
