Rules and Regulations

No smoking is allowed on the premises
The Association is not responsible for accidents or loss of valuables
A Member must be present when any are of the facility is being used
By a non-member
General clubhouse rules and regulations:
1. One key to the front door of the clubhouse, pool area and tennis courts will be issued to each eligible Member of the Association. Loaning or duplicating of the key is prohibited. If the key is lost or stolen, the LWRA (Longfellow Woods Recreation Association) must be notified. A reasonable cost for replacement will be charged
2. A child younger than 18 must be accompanied by a member at all times; two supervising adults for every ten (10) minor children is required.
THESE RECREATION ASSOCIATION RULES AND REGULATIONS ARE ISSUED IN THE SPIRIT THAT EACH MEMBER WILL CONTRIBUTE TO KEEPING THE PROPERTY IN GOOD CONDITION FOR ALL TO ENJOY THIS JOINTLY OWNED BEAUTIFUL FACILITY.
KITCHEN AND CLUBROOM RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. The use of the kitchen and clubroom are for members. A member must be present at all functions in which the space was reserved. Members are responsible for any damage. The clubroom will accommodate a maximum of sixty (60) persons with food or maximum of eighty (80) without food. The use of the clubroom for commercial or any activity open to the public is not allowed.
2. The fireplace and the TV are not serviceable at this time.
3. Members call 765 644-5229 to make a reservation for the kitchen and clubroom. Leave members name, date for request and return phone number. The clubhouse manager will respond within 48 hours, or call a Board member (phone list on the bulletin board in the hallway). The clubhouse manager will provide instructions regarding: key, fee, registration and the cleaning notebook.
4. The fee covers exclusive use of the kitchen, clubroom and pool. Other areas of the Recreation Association remain open to members during the private event. Rental checks are payable to LWRA and are to be paid when the clubroom key is delivered.
5. Furnished supplies are:
Six (6) 8’by30’ folding tables, ten (10), card tables, one (1) 6’by36’ table, forty-nine (49) chairs, small supply of dishtowels/cloths, plates, cups, tableware, trash bags, paper towels, dishwasher soap, Swiffer mop and other cleaning supplies. Set-up and tear down can be arranged through the club manager. The charge is $35.00.
6. Cleaning instructions are outlined in the Kitchen notebook, cleaning is mandatory. A fee (minimum) of $35.00 will be charged for failure to do so and may result in termination of privileges.
7. Use of Confetti, tape on the walls and a chocolate fountain are not allowed. Do not place garbage in the toilets
AFTER PARTY RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Clean all tables and chairs, arrange as per diagram posted on the refrigerator. Do not push chairs against blinds.
2. Clean sinks, counters, stove, ovens, and refrigerator. Empty coffee pots, and leave open for drying. Dishwasher must be emptied.
3. Vacuum clubroom and mop kitchen floor. Hallway, restrooms and basement to be cleaned as necessary
4. Place trash bags in front of door to the garage and reline trash bins
5. Set thermostats in clubroom and hallway as per directed settings
6. Cleaning tasks in the “Clean-up checklist” must be completed, checked off and the checklist signed by member. The checklist is located on the counter. Failure to complete cleaning tasks will result in a $35.00 fee and may result in termination of privileges.
7. Lock both doors to the deck, and engage deadbolt to kitchen door from inside the kitchen and leave through the clubroom doors. Check to make sure all doors are locked.
EXERCISE/EQUIPMENT ROOM RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Members may use the exercise room in the basement. Guests of members may use exercise area if member present. All children under 18 must have member present.
2. LWRA is NOT responsible for accidents or injuries of members and or guests. All parties consult a physician before using exercise equipment
3. Shoes must be worn at all times.
4. Report all issues with exercise equipment by notifying a Board member or calling 765 644-5229.
POOL RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Hours of operation from Memorial Day to the end of September are 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM as weather permits. No use of the pool is allowed during cleaning.
2. Members/guests enter the pool at their own risk. No lifeguard is on duty. The LWRA assumes no responsibility for users’ safety.
3. Members must sign the registration log located at the entrance to the pool area. Members must accompany guests and are responsible for children. Children under 14 years of age must be supervised by an adult at all times. When the pool is heavily used, 15 minutes of each hour is reserved for adults only.
4. Swimsuits are required. Swimmers in bathing suits are NOT allowed in the clubhouse or restrooms on main level. Restrooms are located in the basement dressing areas.
5. INDIANA STATE PUBLIC HEALTH LAW requires all pool users to shower prior to entering. Members using non waterproofed lotions must shower as well before using the pool and place a towel over the pool and deck furniture.
6. Babies must wear swim diapers. Diapers must be changed in the restroom only and double bagged prior to disposal.
7. Running, loud music, boisterous language, horseplay, offensive activities, smoking, glass containers and pets are not allowed in the pool or clubhouse areas
8. Items left in the pool area or dressing rooms will be placed in the “Lost and Found” located under the desk in the clubhouse hallway.
HOT TUB RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Hot tub is open daily from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM from March 1, to November 30.
2. Members and Guests must sign the register log and follow posted rules located on the fence beside the hot tub. DO NOT adjust the water temperature, play with the controls, jump, dive or immerse while in the hot tub. Do NOT use the hot tub while under influence of alcohol, narcotics and controlled substances.
3. Children younger than 14 must be supervised at all times
4. Use of the hot tub is at the User’s risk, Users are advised to consult with a physician before use. LWRA is not responsible for accidents or injuries
5. Place the cover on the hot tub when exiting.
TENNIS COURT RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Reservations must be called to 765 644-5229 one week in advance of desired date of use. Reservations are made for up to 2 hours of Court use. A notice of reservations will be posted on the East Court date
2. Members must be present when children under 14 or guests are using the court.
3. Tennis shoes and acceptable tennis attire are required
4. Food, glass containers, skateboards, bicycles, inline skates etc. are prohibited at all times
5. Notify a Board member or leave a message at 765 644-5229 for any issues with the court.
OVERFLOW/RV PARKING LOT RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. The parking lot is for Members; and their guests’ vehicles with current BMV registrations and license plates only and is located north of the swimming pool.
2. Long-term parking requires a permit from the Board. Call 765 644-5229; leave your name for a return call with instructions. Short-term parking of less than 48 hours is allowed without a permit; notify a Board member to prevent towing of the vehicle.
3. Commercial type and open vehicles are not permitted. Trailers and boats must have anchored covers.
4. No overnight parking is allowed in the main parking area of the clubhouse without permission from the Board. The Board grants permission for short-term parking only.
