Potential Severity Rating ( P.S.R.) / Probable Likelihood Rating (P.L.R.)
  1. Negligible injuries
  2. Minor injuries
  3. Major injuries
  4. Fatal injuries
  5. Multiple fatalities
  6. Catastrophic fatalities.
/
  1. Highly improbable
  2. Remotely possible
  3. Occasionally
  4. Fairly frequent
  5. Frequent or regular
  6. Almost a Certainty.

Risk Rating Number (R.R.N.)

The risk rating is calculated by multiplying the likelihood of occurrence by the severity of the possible injury - PSR X PLR = RRN

The ratio for this activity is 1:8 – 1 teacher to 8 participants + 1 Competition organiser and 3 judges

Key to Hazard Rating

1-9= Low Risk

10-24= Medium Risk

25-36= High Risk
