Summer Reading Suggestions 2016

For Students Entering Third Grade

Your child should give any book to be read independently the “five finger test.” If the child has difficulty with five or more words on a page, the book is probably too difficult to be read independently at this time. Many new readers feel secure reading books in a series. Several of the titles listed below are part of a series. If the title listed here is not available, try others in the series.

Adler, David.

In this first book of the series, Cam, “The Camera,” Jansen has a photographic memory that helps her solve the mystery of some stolen diamonds.
