  1. WebVoyage
  2. Review of the WebVoyage Basic and advanced help screens

Kathleen S.and Amy Saxton are reviewing the help screens. Kathleen will report on their progress at the February meeting.

  1. Shared resources in WebVoyage

SCCC agreed that another ebrary-like location could be created for e-resources acquired by all UH sites.

For the 300+ shared UH Press e-titles, each site will need to add its own proxy server URL, either to individual holdings records or to a shared holdings record for a new location.

There was discussion about duplicating Scholar Space records in an e-brary-like location in Voyager.

We are awaiting a determination from UH counsel about the legality of providing access beyond UHM to Sinclair streaming video files.

Ralph had asked via e-mail if any libraries objected to having records for shared UH Press/NetLibrary titles and streaming video titles appear in the sites’ individual Voyager instances. He reported that no one chose to opt out. Ralph will notify Michelle Sturges/SCCC.

  1. New Business

Eleanor asked why two records in Voyager for the same thesis title had different icons. Nancy answered that one of them was miscoded. [Update: after looking at the records more closely, Nancy informed Eleanor that the records were coded correctly: one record represents the print copy (considered an unpublished manuscript) and the other represents the ProQuest copy (considered a published electronic resource.]

Carol K. announced that Voyager will be upgraded to v.9.xx during the week of May 18, 2015, the interim week between Spring and Summer sessions. Since this is a major upgrade, it will require 3 complete days. There will be minimal changes to WebVoyage. Carol K. has uploaded the documentation to the WebVoyage Committee's Laulima site.
