POSITION: Seasonal Cashier

LOCATION: Oakwood Theme Park

RESPONSIBLE TO: Seasonal Cash Office Supervisor

Finance Manager

Park Manager

RESPONSIBLE FOR LIAISON WITH: Oakwood Management team

Till Operators/Cash Handlers

MISSION: To offer fun in parks which are safe and environmentally friendly, and guarantee a high quality of service, with customers served by a motivated team, to ensure that they are satisfied and want to return.

PURPOSE:

To provide seasonal assistance in the Finance department, taking responsibility for all cash on site. Ensuring the safe & secure handling of cash, performing cash lifts across a number of park outlets, issuing floats.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Cashier Duties:

1.  To ensure the safe & secure handling of cash on site.

2.  To perform cash lifts as directed by the Cash Office Supervisor & Finance Manager throughout the day.

3.  To compile & issue floats as required based on the requirements of each day’s trade.

4.  To cover all aspects of ATM operation.

5.  To reconcile cash & other tenders to Z reads for all tills in operation & discrepancies reported to Cash Office Supervisor, Financial Manager & Departmental Manager.

6.  To adhere to all banking procedures & accurate completion of banking paperwork & forms.

7.  To monitor overall safe balances & provide information to Cash Office Supervisor & Finance Manager on a daily basis.

8.  To review the daily safe sheet & report any discrepancies on a daily basis to Cash Office Supervisor & Finance Manager & Park Director.

9.  To empty all coin operated machines on the Park, on a weekly basis, & input income correctly on Venpos & cash reconciled & banked in accordance to guidelines.

10.  To ensure all monies are safe & secure at the end of each day.

General Responsibilities

1.  To assist the Cash Office Supervisor & Finance Manager with the efficient running of the Finance Office.

2.  To take responsibility for organisation & cleanliness of working environment.

3.  To maintain a high standard of personal presentation at all times.

4.  To be approachable, knowledgeable, friendly with a positive approach if dealing with customers.

PERFORMANCE MEASURES

1.  Preparing cash bankings for collections on all relevant days in the season.

2.  Accuracy in balancing cash each day.

From time to time the company may make reasonable requests for you to undertake duties not necessarily covered in the above.
