DATE AND TIME:Sunday, February 21, 2016 7:00 AM. Warm up, 8:00 AM Start for the Morning Session 1:30 PM Warm up, 2:30 PM Start for the Afternoon Session

FACILITIES:The L’Anse Creuse High School is an 8 lane pool with a supervised warm-up and warm-down area available. Depth of the pool at the start is 8 feet and is 4 feet at the turn. Permanent starting blocks and non-turbulent lane markers will be used. Colorado timing system with an 8 lane display will be used. There is bleacher seating for spectators. Lockers are available (provide your own lock).
RULES:YMCA standard swimming rules will govern this meet.
ELIGIBILITY:The swimmer must be a member in good standing of his/her YMCA for 90 days prior to representing that YMCA in a district, regional, state, or national championship meet and must have represented only that YMCA in any open competition that he/she participated in during the current season of September 1, 2015 through February 15, 2016. A swimmer may not represent more than one YMCA in competitive sports. A swimmer must have competed for the same team in three (3) YMCA inter-association meets held on separate dates during the regular season.
Age of a swimmer is determined by his/her age as of December 1, 2015. Each swimmer must swim in his/her age group for all individual events, but may swim in an older age group for relay events. Age groups are: 10 & Under, 11 & 12, 13 & 14, and 15 & Over.
QUALIFYING:Individual Events: A swimmer is eligible to compete in events where they have NOT met or surpassed the 2015-2016 Y State qualifying time in that event. A swimmer is eligible to compete in the events that do not have a Y State qualifying time.
FORMAT:Girls and Boys 10 & Under as well as 11-12 year old Boys will compete in the morning AM Session. Girls 11-12 years old, Girls and Boys 13-14 years, and Girls and Boys 15 & Over will compete in the afternoon PM session.
ADMISSION:Admission fees will be $5.00 for adults and children 13 and over (swimmers not included). Children 12 and under are no charge.
PROGRAM:A one-day meet program will be available for $5.00.
EVENTS:Event sheets are enclosed in the meet packet. These event sheets are also available on the Macomb Marlins web site ( in both MS Word and PDF format. Event files for Team Manager are also available for download from this website.
TIME TRIALS:Time trials will be offered at this event if time permits. An announcement will be made during each session if time trials will be offered after that session. If time trials are run, the entry fee for time trials will be $5.00 per event.
SEEDING:All heats will be formed on the basis of times submitted. All events are seeded approximately one week prior to the day of the meet. Seeding will be slowest to fastest, timed finals.
RESULTS:Computerized scoring system results will be posted in the hallway outside of the awards room. Final results will be available on the Marlins website ( and emailed to each team within 48 hours following the meet’s completion.
ENTRY LIMITS:Each swimmer may enter a maximum of 3 individual events and 2 relays for the day.
CHECK-IN:Check-in is REQUIRED. Coaches must report all swimmers and scratches to the meet director or entry chairperson by 7:30 AM. for the morning session and by 2:00 PM. for the afternoon session.

COACH’S ROOM:Coach’s lounge will be available right off the pool deck. Food and drink will be provided for coaches and officials.
SCORING:There will be no team or individual scoring points for this meet.
WARM-UP
PROCEDURES:Controlled, supervised warm-up sessions will be utilized in accordance with the warm-up procedures suggested by YMCA swimming. Warm-up lanes will be assigned in order to balance the number of swimmers per lane.
AWARDS:For individual events custom medals will be awarded for places 1st through 8th and ribbons will be awarded for places 9th through 16th. For relay events, custom medals will be awarded for places 1st through 8th.
DECK PERSONNEL:Only swimmers, coaches, and meet workers are allowed on deck.
VOLUNTEERS:Any person who would like to volunteer for timing or officiating should report to the head timer or head official 30 minutes before the start of the session they wish to work. Watches will be supplied for timers.
MARSHALING:There will be marshaling on deck at this meet for the AM session only. Swimmers and their coaches will be responsible for self-marshaling for the PM session. Swimmers in the PM session will self-marshal by using the posted heat sheets.
DESIGNATED
TIMERS:Each team participating in this meet is requested to provide timer(s) to staff this event. We request that your designated timers be at least 16 years of age, and have some previous timing experience. Teams are requested to provide one timer per team, per session.
OFFICIATING:Anyone who is a YMCA Certified Swim Official is welcome to officiate at this meet. Please contact the meet director, Kelly Markwood, at
CONCESSIONS:A full concession stand will be available. Food and beverage will be available behind the spectator seating.
SWIMMERS WITH
DISABILITIES:All swimmers are encouraged to participate. Please indicate any special needs or requests on the Entry summary form and advise the Meet Director or Referee during warm up.
FIRST AID:First Aid is available at the announcer’s table, located on deck.

GENERAL:Smoking is not allowed in L’Anse Creuse High School. No glass is permitted on deck. Body oil or rubdown substances are prohibited. No bare feet allowed outside of the pool area. Swimmers need to have shoes on to go anywhere other than the pool deck or locker room.
