Tour Summary:

Start the tour with a visit to the Yuyuan Garden, a classic creation of the Ming Dynasty, and Shanghai Old Street, which had its origins in the Qing Dynasty. You will then stop at the Bund, Shanghai's waterfront, well known for its grand display of colonial-era architecture. Here you'll enjoy the wonderful view of both sides of the Huangpu River, followed by a visit to the Shanghai Museum of Ancient Chinese Arts that boasts a collection of more than 120,000 rare and unique items in 21 categories, making it the most remarkable cultural institution in the city. After lunch, the tour will continue by driving through the former French Concession to the Shanghai Arts and Crafts Store, stopping by the Jade Buddha Temple with its priceless jade statues from Burma on the way. The last stop Xin Tian Di is a stylish nightlife district with many boutiques, pubs, and restaurants. You will experience two picturesque towns, Su Zhou and Zhou Zhuang, each with its distinctive landscape and unique history. Su Zhou was one of the few cities in China to escape the ravages of the Cultural Revolution with its famous gardens almost entirely intact. Visit the Master of Nets Garden, Panmen Ancient City Wall, Grand Canal and Silk Factory. After lunch travel to Zhou Zhuang which is well known for its dreamy landscape and simple architectures, well preserved for over 900 years. The majority of the town's residences were built in the Ming and Qing dynasties, and nearly 100 traditional courtyards and 60 carved-brick archways are still in use. Visit the old residence in the old town and take a boat ride there. Transfer back to Shanghai after sightseeing.

The boat ride starts at the Fish & Flower harbor and ends up by the Shangri-la Hotel.After lunch, you will also visit Guo's Villa that is the best existing traditional private garden in Hang Zhou. Dragon Well(Longjing) tea is that famous throughout China, so you will be guided to the China Tea Museum and the Dragon Well Tea Plantation, to discover the history of Chinese tea and the tea ceremony. Before turning back to Shanghai by way of the Qiantang River and the Six Harmonies Pagoda.
