a. Enrollment

2012 - 386 students
fall 2015 - 533 (up 45 students from 2014-2015 school year)
1st - 3rd grade are allowed to have up to 25 students in each class
4th - 5th grade are allowed to have up to 30 students in each class
we have a lot of new students from Juilette Low, Shuman, Spencer, and East Broad

October 5th - Basketball Game
Harlem Wizards vs Staff/Volunteers of JGS
Jenkins High School at 6:30 pm (doors will open at 5:45 pm)
October 16 - 1st Marking Period Recognition Program
Champion for Life
Habit 7 focus
Healthy life habits
TailsSpin/Champion will sponsor

If students/adults decide to train for Woof Woof 5k, this will give them 8 weeks (Dawn can provide a flyer for an 8 week training program)
October 22 - Fundraiser with Green Build (Tubby's)
Angela Kakabeeke has contacted Green Build to help the school with drainage in courtyards
the district will handle the physical part of the drainage (digging, pipes, etc)
Green Build will take care of the plants that will sustain the area to promote drainage
October/November - Open forum with Julie Wade
Julie Wade would like to meet with parents
would like to do this before voting on Esplost
December 12th at 8 am - Woof Woof 5k

race will start at 9 am (this will be a timed race)

New parent representatives

Mrs. Burkiett will create a letter to send home with students on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 asking for parent nominations.
Deadline for nominations will be Friday, September 11, 2015
Voting will be sent home with students on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 (do we have a deadline for the return of votes?)

Crossfit (Jennifer Semones and Heidi Schaffner are in contact with them)
DeRenne McDonald's - Gina (Mrs. Burkiett is in communication with them)
Ardsley Park Baptist Church - Pastor Tillmen
Red & White (Jeff will contact)
Marcos Pizza
Aquatic Center - Misty Bethune
Kroger on Mall Blvd
Publix on Whitemarsh Island and Twelve Oaks (they have donated previously to the school)
5 Spot (We have reached out to them previously but have had no response)
Bar Food/Coffee Deli

representative will need to come to the 7:30 am meetings to give input
we would like it to be a true partnership where each party can help each other
we will need current contact information for business partner and representative

Charles McMillian of McMillian and Associates will complete training of Local School Council
