Car Parking Charges Survey

Maldon and District CVS, as part of the Task and Finish group formed by Maldon District Council, would like to hear from people affected by the introduction of Car Park Charges in Maldon at evenings and on Sundays from April 2016.

Many voluntary and community sector groups use locations and venues in and around the High Street to offer services and activities and are potentially being affected by the introduction of these fees. We would like to know how and to what extent.

MDCVS are carrying out three different surveys that will help us to build a picture of the effects and in turn will report back to Maldon District Council.

Please visit to complete the survey that is most relevant to your situation.

Celebrate! – Extra Funding Added

The Big Lottery Fund

Celebrate! opened for applications on 6th July 2016 with a total of £3.875m available for projects in England. However, due to its huge success a further £4.1 million of funding has been allocated to give even more local communities the chance to come together and celebrate – a total of £7.695 million for projects in England.

The Big Lottery Fund Celebrate! programme is offering grants of between £300 and £10,000 for groups to hold one off events or activities which celebrate their local community.

This could be celebrating something from the community's history or a local hero, or could just be a chance to bring people together to get to know their neighbours better.

Applications are assessed and awarded on a first come, first served basis and the fund will close to new applications when all the money has been awarded.

Voluntary or community organisations with a constitution and bank account, schools and statutory bodies can apply and The Big Lottery are especially keen to receive applications from groups who have not applied to them before.
