q Glittering Cups will be given to the top five rankers of each of Under-7 13 & 17 category respectively.
q Players belongs to Tiruvallur District only can participate in this tournament. Only those who play in this Championship can eligible to participate in the following TN State Tournaments:
q TN State Under-7 to be held at Tiruvallur from 1-5 May;
q TN State Under-13 to be held at Tiruppur from 26-30 May;
q TN State Under-17 to be held at Erode from 1-5 May;
RULES AND REGULATIONS
q Rights of admission to tournament premises reserved.
q ELIGIBILITY
Thiruvallur District Players only are eligible to participate.
q AGE LIMIT
q U-7 Players must have been born on or after 01-01-2009.
q U-13 Players must have been born on or after 01-01-2003.
q U-17 Players must have been born on or after 01-01-1999.
q Certificate for age Proof must be produced if not already registered with Tlr & TNSCA.
q SYSTEM OF PLAY
The tournament shall be played under FIDE rapid rule (45 minutes each). Totally, 6 rounds shall be played unless otherwise decided by the tournament committee before commencement of the tournament.
q TIE-BREAK
Buchholz System of tie-break will be applied. In case of tie, Prizes will not be shared.
q CHESS BOARD & CHESS CLOCK
The participants are required to bring their own chess sets &
Chess Clocks.
q DECISION
The Arbiter’s decision shall be final and binding on all.
q DISCIPLINE
Indisciplined players inside the school premises will be debarred from the Tournament
q ZERO TOLERANCE
The Zero Tolerance rules will be followed (i.e.) Any player who arrives at the Chess Board after the start of the game. Thus the default time is Zero Minute.
q ENTRY FEES
Entry fee Rs.150/- and membership fee of Rs.50/- for the year 2016-17 will be collected. Last day of entry 04th Feb 2016. A late fee of Rs.50/- will be collected on entries received after last date.
The entry fee can be paid by any of the following method:
