Classroom Rules

1. Follow School-wide Rules.
2. Listen and Follow Instructions.
3. No Electronic Distractions.
4. No negative comments, name-calling or profanity.

Consequences

1. Warning
2. Teacher/Student Conference

4. Buddy Room* and Parent Contact.
5. Referral.

*Depending on the situation, I will get in contact with you, the parent(s). The buddy room is the class of a fellow teacher, where the student is not among his own grade level, and he or she is sent with a discipline essay with which to work.

Severe Clause: If a student is fighting, vandalizing or being overtly defiant a referral will be issued.

Tardy Policy

1st Tardy = Warning, Student-Teacher Conference

2nd Tardy = Student-Teacher Conference, Parent Contact.

3rd Tardy = Student-Teacher Conference, Detention with Mr. Rosales, Parent Contact.

4th Tardy = Student-Teacher Conference, Detention with Mr. Rosales, Parent Contact.

5th Tardy = Referral to Administration, 1 Hour Detention with the office, Referral to SARB.

6th Tardy = Referral to Administration, 1 Hour Detentionwith the office,Referral to SARB.

Class Procedure

  1. Assignments are checked and due the following class session.
  2. Planners are required of students in order for them to write assignments. The teacher marks the planner for completed homework.
  3. The first 5-minutes of class consist of a daily assessment/review warm-up and Homework Check.
  4. Students will have a quiz every week, a unit test every two weeks, a Quarter Benchmark and a Semester Final.
  5. Students will be responsible for maintaining at least a3-Subject notebook. All work for the class will be kept in the notebook. A 5 subject notebook is even better!
  6. Students, who are ABSENT excused or unexcused, are responsible for making up work missed. They will be given the same amount of time as the rest of the class. They are responsible for scheduling a time to make up any assessment that they have missed. Any retakes of low quizzes may be done within 1 week of assessment day; the highest score will be taken.
  7. Tutoring before or after school is available! As early as 7:35am and as late as 4:00p.m.
