Lloyd’s Register Energy plays host to EWEA’s theme “Think Bigger”
Lloyd’s Register Energy is sharing its insight in to compliance, integrity and specialist risk consultancy at the 2015 EWEA event in Copenhagen.
The event plays host to Lloyd’s Register Energy’s capability in the renewable sector, enabling visitors to meet its experts and find out about the company’s end-to-end services and unrivalled portfolio of technical expertise.
The addition of specialist support services brought into the fold of Lloyd’s Register Energy is delivering increased service provision for clients faced with an increasingly complex regulatory and safety conscious environment.
“It is no longer enough just to comply with minimum standards,” said Ross Wigg, Lloyd's Register Energy’s VP Renewables. “Safety is a priority and improvement must be a constant. There still needs to be more awareness and understanding of how renewable assets should be managed. Operators need to identify and meet a defined set of safety solutions now and in the future.”

“There will always be some level of risk associated with offshore and onshore renewable energy exploration and supply,” said Wigg. “But our presentations and insights at EWEA show how we can make operations safer by managing and minimising risk.”
Recognition of safety and asset performance has greatly improved. But with a degree of uncertainty about affordable and secure energy supply, investment is needed now for the long term, supported by transparent policies with joined-up thinking between different countries intent on ensuring an interconnected and innovative renewable energy supply.
