Living Obituary of Nandy Tsai

Nandy Tsai was born in Taipei, Taiwan. Her parents migrated to United States when she was in 6th grade in hopes of a better future for Nandy, their only child. They settled in Fremont, California and started their own wholesale apparel business. Nandy’s father takes on global ventures for the family which means he is always traveling. Her mom takes care of the storefront business. With Nandy’s mom always at home she developed a closer relationship with her mother.

Nandy was scheduled to take over the business after high school so that her parents could go back to Taiwan to retire. Yet, after high school, Nandy decided to go to college after a suggestion from a family friend that attended Purdue University. Nandy now attends Purdue University with a major is Retail Management. With a degree from a college, she felt that she would be better equipped to handle the challenges that face running a business. Nandy has not held much leadership positions at Purdue but she expects to get her chance at leadership upon graduation by owning her family’s business.
